As digital partner AKQA supports Volvo Car Belux in all their digital activities: from online activations, to technological development and innovation.
We act as a strategic and executive partner for Volvo Car Belux. We set-up the long-term digital strategic framework and make it happen on a daily basis.
As of today I still keep the Volvo car websites up to date in ContentStack, improve the overall digital experience and provide custom solutions for the local market.


Helping dealerships
Every dealer of the Volvo network has their own website. This website is centrally managed but is customisable to fit the dealership's needs.
I provide support for the dealers and push and maintain general content and promo's. The content management of the dealerwebsites was first done in Drupal, but has since been migrated to HyperBuider.



Proactive maintenance
For always-on, we developed and maintained all existing and new pages in Sitecore. To guarantee the quality of the pages we use our custom developed Relevance Tool. This relevance tool does custom automatic checks on a daily basis (checking links, loading time, scraping for 404 pages).
The big difference in comparison with other quality improvement tools was that the checks were not only done by bots, but also by us.
On a daily basis I checked different pages on content quality, SEO meta data, visuals, call-to-actions and relevance, but also acted on it.
All accessories accessible
For the original Volvo accessories we created an online catalogue, which optimised the overall user experience and discoverability of all genuine accessories made by Volvo.
The leads generated on these pages are automatically pushed into Volvo's LMS. On top of that, the automated content system ensured up to date data, price information and promotions were easily integrated.
